Saad is of Indian descent, making his skin tone a four on the Fitzpatrick scale. With traditional laser technologies, this could pose as a serious safety issue. These traditional lasers could cause extreme pain to those with deeper skin tones, and in some cases even cause blistering and burning. However, with PicoWay’s ultra-fast picosecond speed, this is not an issue for Saad. All five of Saad’s tattoos incorporate black, while three incorporate colour—two with yellow and one with blue, as seen in the photos below.

To maximize the removal process, Jim will treat two or three tattoos at a time, not all five at once. This allows for more frequent treatments and overall faster removal. The process will be about two years in total.
